In Kağıthane, the mother-in-law Delal A., who killed her son-in-law after he shot her daughter with a gun, was released by the court under judicial supervision. As the woman returned to her neighborhood, she was greeted with applause by her neighbors and couldn't hold back her tears during the emotional moments. Istanbul Kagithane recently witnessed a horrific domestic violence incident. 33-year-old Ruzgar Eser shot his wife, Nursin E., with a gun.
In those moments, to protect her children and daughter, 58-year-old mother-in-law Delal A. steeled herself and neutralized her son-in-law by stabbing him in the chest. The son-in-law, severely injured, lost his life, while Delal A. was taken into custody by police.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
After processing at the police station, Delal A. was referred to the courthouse and released by the court under judicial control.
WELCOMED WITH APPLAUSE BY NEIGHBORS
Following her release, Delal A. returned to her neighborhood, where she was greeted by neighbors and relatives with applause, whistles, and tears. As she got out of the vehicle, the elderly woman, embraced by residents, appeared visibly exhausted.

Still visibly in shock, Delal A. hugged those welcoming her and cried, saying, "If I hadn't done it, he would have killed us all." Residents supported the grieving mother, saying, "Anyone in your place would have done the same, sister. Stay strong."

While her daughter continues to receive hospital treatment, it was learned that Delal A. stated in her police statement that her son-in-law was constantly violent and had threatened to massacre the entire family that day.
