The Tunceli Governorate has taken a historic step to increase the city's road construction and maintenance capacity. At a ceremony held with the intense participation of Governor Şefik Aygöl, the provincial protocol, and citizens, the asphalt plant that will enable the city to produce its own asphalt, a mobile crusher facility, and 45 new work machines added to the institution's fleet were officially put into service.
GOAL OF 120 KILOMETERS OF HOT ASPHALT WITH ITS OWN RESOURCES
Thanks to these investments, described as the beginning of a new era in Tunceli's transportation infrastructure, significant time and cost savings will be achieved in road works across the province. By using hot asphalt that it will produce entirely with its own resources at the newly operational facilities, the city plans to complete a total of 120 kilometers of hot asphalt pouring in the central district, towns, and villages within this year.
FIRST ASPHALT TO BE POURED ON THE MUNZUR SPRINGS ROUTE
The first hot asphalt produced by the newly operational facilities will be laid on the road along the Munzur Springs route in the Ovacık district, one of the city's most important tourism and faith centers.
The superstructure works to be carried out in this critical region aim to provide citizens and tourists visiting the city with safer and more comfortable transportation. The modernized roads are expected to add great value to Tunceli's potential in faith, culture, and nature tourism.
