The incident occurred on the morning of May 30, in a chicken coop near Eski Bursa Asfalti Street in Güzelyalı Siteler Neighborhood. Three stray dogs roaming the area entered the coop in a site's garden and attacked the chickens for about 40 minutes. 30 chickens died, and 2 chickens survived. It was learned that the dogs later entered another nearby coop and killed 3 chickens there. The dogs were driven away from the area with the intervention of bystanders.

Sevgi Türay, the owner of the coop who learned about the incident upon returning from vacation, told DHA reporter reached by phone, "Our chickens, which we raised with effort, were killed. Our main concern is the possibility that these dogs may harm children tomorrow. They can easily enter gardens. There is a 6-year-old child at home and a 4-year-old at our neighbor's. We are concerned about the safety of our children."

The neighborhood residents stated that stray dogs are frequently seen in the area and requested support from authorities for a permanent solution to the problem.
