RETURNED TO THE OWNER
Yener Dikbaş, the headman of Kurtuluş Neighborhood, stated that the clothes donated by citizens to be delivered to those in need were checked one by one before distribution. Dikbaş noted that during the final inspection, a total of 6,500 lira, 23 quarter and half gold coins were found forgotten in the pockets and inner linings of the clothes. He expressed that after the investigation, the money and gold coins were fully returned to their owners. Stating that they have encountered similar situations before, Dikbaş said that the money found in the inner lining of clothes donated by the relatives of a deceased woman was also returned to her family.
CLOTHES MUST BE CHECKED BEFORE DONATION
Calling on citizens, Dikbaş said, "Before donating, they must definitely check the pockets and inner linings of the clothes. We also show the utmost attention, but due to the intensity, situations that may be overlooked can occur. To prevent anyone from being victimized, we want everyone to be more careful."
Dikbaş thanked everyone who donated to support those in need.
