THE COFFIN STAYED IN THE ELEVATOR FOR MINUTES
A farewell ceremony was held for Şeşen at the Caddebostan Cultural Center in Kadıköy. After the ceremony, İlhan Şeşen's body was taken to the funeral vehicle with the assistance of officers, an imam, and the ceremony team. However, the elevator malfunctioned and stopped on an intermediate floor.
Şeşen's funeral was trapped in the elevator for about half an hour with the imam and the ceremony team. Meanwhile, the artist's relatives and fans waited outside with great sadness. With the intervention of the teams, the elevator doors were opened, and those inside were evacuated. After the ceremony, Şeşen's body was taken to Şakirin Mosque, where the funeral prayer would be held.

Şeşen's body will be buried in Karacaahmet after the funeral prayer to be held at noon at Üsküdar Şakirin Mosque.

Responding to journalists' questions at the ceremony, his wife Arzu Şeşen said, "He couldn't speak anymore. He couldn't hear. We spent the last two months hand in hand like this. And it ended like this. Everything is over and gone."

İlhan Şeşen's son, Fuat Şeşen, stated, "My father was a humble good man who had a small-big place in many people's hearts," and thanked the doctors and fans who played an active role during his father's treatment process.

His daughter Melis Şeşen Kılman said, "I can only say this, he was one of those who chased his dream. That’s the thing I respect the most. He had the courage to chase his dream. It was beautiful to witness that."
