AK Party Central Decision Board member Orhan Miroğlu, who occasionally stands out with criticisms towards his party after the local elections on March 31, made a noticeable statement. Miroğlu emphasized that AK Party is the sole insurance of Turkey in a social media post.

Miroğlu said the following: "This is an article/analysis that every AK Party member who thinks that AK Party is the only remaining political insurance in today's Turkey, like me, should read over and over again. Yıldıray Oğur tried to explain that if this insurance is dismissed - unfortunately, the trend is in that direction - we will face a dark fascism, not from an economic perspective like Cüneyt Zapsu, but from a political perspective and based on the experiences of our political history. However, AK Party has been detached from this historical and social role for a long time, surrendered to a personalistic, careerist, narrow-minded understanding, caught the Stalinist purging microbe, and is shrinking a little more with each election through exclusion instead of inclusiveness."
