Ömer Kutluay, the son of Demet Şener and former national basketball player İbrahim Kutluay, achieved an important success in his basketball career. The young basketball player, who plays for the Real Madrid youth academy, was selected for the National Men's Basketball Team squad following his performance in the FIBA Under-17 Men's Basketball World Cup.
Demet Şener, who felt great joy as her son was included in the national team squad, shared this pride with her followers on her social media account. In her post, Şener used the words, "What great pride!"
Ömer Kutluay had previously stated in an interview that playing for the National Team was one of his biggest dreams. The young player expressed that he had followed his older brothers playing in the national team since a young age and wanted to wear the same jersey in the future.
On the other hand, Demet Şener and İbrahim Kutluay, who divorced years ago, strengthened their relationship again for the sake of their children. After a long period of resentment, the former spouses reunited and re-established their communication for their son Ömer and daughter İrem.
