As part of a drug investigation involving celebrities, detention orders were issued for 16 individuals. While 14 people were detained, Hakan Sabancı from the Sabancı family was also among those names.
In the new wave of the drug investigation targeting celebrities conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, businesspeople Fikret Orman, Burak Elmas, Hakan and Kerim Sabancı, as well as models Didem Soydan and Güzide Duran were detained. There is also a detention order for actress Hande Erçel within the scope of the investigation.

Hakan Sabancı, the son of Ömer and Arzu Sabancı, returned to Turkey after receiving an education in economics in the USA. The young Sabancı is known not only for his activities in the business world but also for his private life, which is frequently in the media.
HANDE ERÇEL'S EX-BOYFRIEND
Hakan Sabancı is also the ex-boyfriend of famous actress Hande Erçel. Sabancı and Erçel ended their relationship, which lasted about three years, in August 2025. Following the surprising end of their relationship, which was expected to lead to marriage, Hakan Sabancı's name has been associated with different individuals.
STATEMENT FROM THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated the following in a statement regarding the operation:
"Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; an investigation has been initiated against those involved in order to protect the general morality of society and the family structure.
When the work done and the collected evidence are evaluated together, a detention order has been issued for a total of 16 suspects who possess drugs for personal use or facilitate drug use.
In relation to the incident subject to the investigation, simultaneous operations were carried out at 16 addresses by the Istanbul Narcotic Crimes Fighting Branch Teams to capture the suspects, and 14 suspects have been detained. A capture order has been issued for 2 suspects.
The investigation is being conducted meticulously and in all aspects. It is respectfully announced to the public."
