Fenerbahçe Presidential Candidate Hakan Safi said, "With a coach who knows the Turkish League, Fenerbahçe can win the championship. We will announce the technical director before the election. I will bring world stars." Speaking about Aziz Yıldırım's unification call, Safi said, "My dear president, I wish he had made this call every day since 2018. He has not supported me since then, why didn’t he support me, didn’t shake my hand. No one can disgrace themselves as much as he has."
Fenerbahçe Presidential Candidate Hakan Safi stated that they will rebuild the Kadıköy atmosphere, saying, "We will solve the on-field issues, we will build one of the best squads in history. We will take steps regarding the stadium and facilities. We set out to give our children the Fenerbahçe we experienced in our childhood."
Ahead of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club's Extraordinary Elective General Assembly Meeting to be held on June 6-7, presidential candidate Hakan Safi continues his work and met with press members at Faruk Ilgaz Facilities. Making a press statement together with the members of his board list, Hakan Safi said, "Today, with those sitting at this table and those working tirelessly behind the scenes in our campaign, we have set out for the sake of our responsibility to the striped jersey, for the Fenerbahçe management that is very precious to us. I started this journey with the motto 'My Champion Fenerbahçe, ask anything of me' to bring my glorious Fenerbahçe back to where it deserves. On this journey, my enthusiasm increased even more with the support of valuable names I knew before. They gave me strength. After my decision last September, we shared our concerns with invaluable Fenerbahçe fans on this sacred journey. I received great favor from every name I offered a management position. All my friends you see at this table today share the same concerns about Fenerbahçe. Seeing very experienced names that appeal to the community's memory by my side makes me very happy. Seeing our young friends, who add strength to our strength with their energy, ambition, and commitment, by our side is a separate source of pride. Fenerbahçe, I say this with regret; unfortunately, it has forgotten its greatness. This great community has set aside its potential due to meaningless internal fights. I am a servant of this community. We will never act superior to Fenerbahçe fans. We will not say 'We are Fenerbahçe itself.' We will always be aware of the weight of the authority that the community, through its members, will grant us. I believe in teamwork. While forming this board list, we sat down and consulted with a team of 12 people. We formed a strong and determined board of directors that is expert in their fields, knows the community's culture, and has high energy for our Fenerbahçe.
Today before you are names well-known to Fenerbahçe fans and Turkey. Those who have worked for Fenerbahçe in the stands, in past administrations, and in family meetings will guide us. Our young friends taking their first steps into Fenerbahçe politics will carry us to better places with their fresh ideas and energy. You will see, many names on the management list today will shape Fenerbahçe's future in the coming periods. I truly believe this management list will produce many presidential candidates in the coming years. We took care to form a mixed board. We brought together financially strong, well-connected individuals who are very successful in their careers. Many of Turkey's most prominent businesspeople have rolled up their sleeves to serve their Fenerbahçe without hesitation," he said.
"Ours is not love of position, but love of Fenerbahçe itself"
Stating that they will be close to everyone whose heart beats in yellow and navy blue, Safi said, "As those aspiring to manage Fenerbahçe, we know our community's problems well. First, we will be close to everyone whose heart beats in yellow and navy blue. We will eliminate the disconnect between management and the community. We will not be arrogant. The owner of Fenerbahçe is whoever says 'I am a Fenerbahçe fan.' We will always be aware of this. From the moment the members entrust this sacred duty to us on June 7, we will start working for Fenerbahçe with all our might. A few of the names we have determined for Football Inc. are also among us today. The only difficulty in forming the board and Football Inc. lists was choosing among dozens of names that showed favor. We decided to form a council of elders. We will bring together experienced names from the community and regularly seek their opinions on Fenerbahçe. I am ready to do anything unconditionally for Fenerbahçe. I have no fear. But this is a team game. Therefore, when determining the management list, we preferred names that will work for Fenerbahçe at all times. For my friends on the list, position is not a goal. I did not wait for a management role to contribute to my Fenerbahçe. As those who have fought for their Fenerbahçe in every field for years, regardless of the outcome on June 7, we will never give up our struggle. We will not be among those who sulk or stay away during crises. Ours is not love of position, but love of Fenerbahçe itself," he said.

Emphasizing that he is confident they will win the election, Safi continued: "Our projects are ready; we listen to the concerns of every Fenerbahçe fan we meet. We are aware of the expectations of every member of our great community. We will solve the on-field issues; we will build one of the best squads in history. We are aware of the disorganization in the stands; we will rebuild the Kadıköy atmosphere. We will take steps regarding the stadium and facilities. We will protect Fenerbahçe's intellectual capital and address problems in education. We set out to give our children the Fenerbahçe we experienced in our childhood."
"Fenerbahçe can win the league with a coach who knows the Turkish League"
Stating that discussions regarding the technical director are ongoing, Safi said, "This season's league has ended. Our first gathering seems to be on June 20-21. We are planning considering that the Champions League will start on July 20. By the time you go to the polls, we will have solved all the issues in your mind regarding the football team. We are trying to act strategically. We will continue to be the voice of Fenerbahçe day and night. When I said I will work with a coach who knows the Turkish League, I expressed a very clear opinion. Our discussions on that are ongoing. I still stand by that. Fenerbahçe can win the league with a coach who knows the Turkish League. If you start with a coach who doesn't know the Turkish League, you can fall 5-6 points behind. A coach who knows the fixture and the Turkish League is important. We will announce before the election," he said.
"We will integrate world stars"
Regarding the squad planning of the senior football team, Hakan Safi said, "As far as I know, we have 37-38 football players. There is a 10+4 rule. We will act with this awareness. We have made plans for all of them. We are planning day and night. We will integrate world stars into Fenerbahçe. I will bring world stars to Fenerbahçe. After bringing them, I will see what fits and what doesn't. I created a model that doesn't exist in Turkey by bringing Kerem Aktürkoğlu. If it's a penalty, so be it. There are ways too. We are discussing with lawyers. We know what the penalty is and how to get rid of it. We are ready financially and morally for Fenerbahçe to meet world stars," he said.
"Off-field lobbying is very important"
Emphasizing that they will struggle off the field as much as on the field, Safi said, "Off-field lobbying in Turkey and the world is also very important."I see these lobbies everywhere. Lobby activities are very important. We are trying to revive it. He said, 'Fenerbahçe will continue its way by building its best squad on and off the field. Fenerbahçe will be champions off the field as well.'

When asked, 'Do you believe there is a structure?' Safi replied, 'Is there a structure in Turkey? We call that structure a lobby. No one can establish a structure against us where I am. We establish the structure.'
