The 22-kilometer Halkalı-Arnavutköy section of the Halkalı-İstanbul Airport Metro Line entered service today. With a total length of 69 kilometers, the entirely underground project is one of Turkey's longest and fastest metro lines, and among the few in the world. Speaking at the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "Until July 31, our Halkalı-İstanbul Airport metro line will be free for our citizens."
