PLAYED SOCCER WITH THE NEW YORK CITY MAYOR
Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of the US-based yogurt brand Chobani, participated in a street soccer event organized for children alongside New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Colorful scenes emerged as the duo played soccer with children on the streets of New York.
FENERBAHÇE JERSEY DREW ATTENTION
At the event, the Fenerbahçe jersey with the Chobani logo worn by Hamdi Ulukaya caught attention. The images brought back to the spotlight the sponsorship agreement signed between Chobani and Fenerbahçe last year.
In his statement, Ulukaya noted that soccer is not just a sport, saying that during his childhood, soccer gave him a sense of belonging and the power to bring people together.
NEW YORK STREETS PREPARE FOR THE WORLD CUP
As part of the event organized in collaboration with Chobani, the New York City Mayor's Office, and Street Lab, neighborhood streets were temporarily transformed into soccer fields. Various activities were organized for children and families at the event.
According to a statement from the New York City Mayor's Office, within the scope of the "Soccer Streets" project, many school areas across the city will be converted into soccer fields and social activity points ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
CHOBANI AND FENERBAHÇE AGREEMENT
Under the sponsorship agreement signed in 2025, Chobani became the stadium naming sponsor of Fenerbahçe. According to the deal, the yellow-navy club will earn 10 million euros per season. The club's stadium was announced as "Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex."
