The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) announced the purchase prices for shelled hazelnuts for the 2026-2027 period. A purchase price of 255 lira per kilogram was set for Giresun quality hazelnuts and 250 lira for Levant quality hazelnuts. The purchase of shelled hazelnuts will begin on August 24.
The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) announced the purchasing prices for shelled hazelnuts for the 2026-2027 season. The prices, set to meet the storage and financing needs of hazelnut producers and to prevent potential marketing-related issues, will be applied based on a 50% solid kernel content.
Accordingly, the purchasing price for Giresun quality shelled hazelnuts was set at 255 lira per kilogram, and the purchasing price for Levant quality shelled hazelnuts was set at 250 lira per kilogram.
TMO also announced that additional payments will be made for products with a yield above 50%. Accordingly, for each +1 yield above 50%, an additional payment of 5 lira and 10 kuruş per kilogram will be made for Giresun quality hazelnuts, and 5 lira per kilogram for Levant quality hazelnuts.
SHELLED HAZELNUT PURCHASES WILL BEGIN ON AUGUST 24In the statement, it was reported that TMO has completed its technical infrastructure, storage capacity, personnel, and financing preparations for hazelnut purchases, and that shelled hazelnut purchases will begin on August 24.
Producers will be able to create purchase appointments starting August 17 at TMO offices, via E-Government, or through TMO's appointment system.
TMO also emphasized that producers should take maximum care to properly dry harvested hazelnuts to avoid problems due to moisture during product delivery.
