MOWED DOWN VEHICLES WAITING AT RED LIGHT
The accident occurred around 15:00 at the entrance of the Kadınhanı district on the Konya-Afyonkarahisar highway. According to the information obtained, the truck with license plate 42 AVB 053, traveling towards Konya, went out of control when its brakes failed as it approached the traffic lights. The truck, whose driver lost control of the steering wheel, crossed the median, entered the opposite lane, and came to a stop after crashing into two cars, a light commercial vehicle, and another truck waiting at the light.
FIREFIGHTERS EXTRACTED THE INJURED TRAPPED IN VEHICLES
Upon the notification of those around, numerous police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. In the accident, Baki Türk lost his life at the scene, while 9 injured people trapped in the vehicles were rescued by the intervention of firefighting teams and taken to Kadınhanı State Hospital.
