The incident occurred at around 17:20 at the Heybeliada Naval Academy. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out during restoration works on the roof of the 4-story building. Following the report, many fire brigade teams from surrounding districts were dispatched to the scene. While the teams continued to intervene in the fire, the fire area was viewed from the air.
