In Samsun, a woman and her sisters were detained after she and her two sisters beat a woman in the middle of the street with kicks and punches, claiming that the woman had had an affair with her husband. It was learned that the victim woman, who was rescued by the intervention of passengers on the municipal bus and whose nose was broken, had previously obtained a restraining order against the attacker.
In the İlkadım district of Samsun, E.G. (29), the woman who beat M.M. (36), whom she claimed had an affair with her husband, and her 2 sisters were taken into custody. The moments of the beating were captured by a KGYS camera.
The incident occurred on October 7 at around 19:30 on 56’lar Street in Bahçelievler Neighborhood. According to the allegation, E.G., the woman, beat M.M., whom she claimed was having an affair with her husband, together with her sisters E.A. (27) and E.A. (23) on the street, kicking and punching her. Bystanders who saw the situation and passengers on a municipal bus that stopped as it was passing by intervened in the fight. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notice. The injured M.M. was taken to Gazi State Hospital after intervention by medical teams and placed under treatment. It was reported that M.M.'s nose was broken and that there were injuries on her arm and head. It was learned that M.M. had previously obtained a restraining order against E.G. "I WAS KICKED AND PUNCHED"
M.M., a mother of 1 child and divorced from her husband, who gave a statement after treatment, said, “My friend and I left the shopping mall with my 5-year-old daughter M.M. and went to 56’lar Street. After sitting at the café for a while, we left. A vehicle belonging to V.G. slowed down beside me. Just as I was about to put my daughter into my own vehicle, a woman pulled me to the ground. 3 women laid me on the ground and kicked and punched my head. One of those who hit me was E.A., and the other was E.G. I was kicked and punched. I saw E.A. pull out a knife. My friend was protecting my daughter at that moment. Afterwards, the municipal bus stopped and those who got off it moved the women away,” she said.
SUSPECTS DENIED THE CHARGES
Police, who launched an investigation into the incident, took all 3 suspects they identified into custody. In her statement, E.G. said, “I know M.M. because she had a relationship with my husband for about 8 months while I was married. E.A. and E.A. are my sisters. Today, before the incident, we went to pick up my husband from the police station. Afterwards, we went to 56’lar Street. My sisters said, ‘We will drink coffee; you go home.’ Since my husband parked his car, he went to pick it up. Meanwhile, I heard fight noises. When I looked out of curiosity, I saw M.M., with whom I have a feud, and my sisters. I did not see my sisters hit anyone,” she said.
E.A. said, “I did not hit anyone and did not insult anyone. I also had no noticeable injury. When I heard the sound of the fight, my older sister E.G. came to us. She tried to separate them. My brother-in-law was waiting for us. We got into the car there and left. I do not accept the accusations made against me.”
The other suspect, E.A., also said, “I did not hit anyone. I only defended myself. I do not accept the accusations attributed to me. My older sister E.G. did not have a knife in her hand.”
THE CLAIM THAT V.G. SAID HE WAS SINGLE
Meanwhile, it was alleged that E.G.'s husband, V.G., had a travel agency, that he met M.M. there, told her that he was single, and that their relationship began in this way. The 3 sisters, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the courthouse.
