34-year-old Hakan K., who sent threatening messages to his wife during their divorce process, went to her house and attacked her father and sister with acid. It was revealed that he had also attacked the house with stones in 2023. Speaking about the incident, his wife stated, "If I had been at home, he would have burned my face. I want to escape from this before I die."
Hakan K. (34), who has been separated from his wife Ayşe Karslıoğlu (30) for 5 years and is in the process of divorce, sent threatening messages to her and attacked her father and sister with acid at the front of her house. While the injured father and daughter filed a complaint, it was revealed that Hakan K. had also attacked the house with stones in 2023. The moments of the acid attack and threats were captured on camera. Speaking about the incident, Ayşe Karslıoğlu said, "If I had been at home, he would have burned my face. I want to get rid of this before I die," she said. Hakan K., who was taken into custody by the police, was arrested by the court he was brought to and sent to prison.
The incident occurred on Saturday, May 17, around 5:30 PM in the İnönü neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Ayşe Karslıoğlu started receiving death threats from Hakan K. three years ago after she filed for divorce, allegedly because she wanted to work. Continuing his threats, Hakan K. came to the front of the house where Ayşe Karslıoğlu lived with her family and called her father, Zeki Yılmaz. Hakan K. threw acid, which he had filled in a plastic bottle, and then fled the scene. The moment of the incident was captured second by second by security cameras.
ATTACKED HIS FAMILY WITH ACID In the attack, Zeki Yılmaz was injured, and his daughter Aycan Yılmaz, who stepped in to protect him, was also injured on her arm. After the incident, the father and daughter went to the hospital for treatment and received a medical report. They filed a complaint against Hakan K. at the police station. On the other hand, it was revealed that Hakan K. had attacked Ayşe Karslıoğlu's house with stones in 2023. The moments when Hakan K. threatened to throw acid at Karslıoğlu were also recorded.
"IF I HAD BEEN AT HOME, HE WOULD HAVE BURNED MY FACE" Speaking about the incident, Ayşe Karslıoğlu said, "I was married to Hakan K. for 11 years. We have been separated for 5 years. We have a divorce case that has been ongoing since 2022. A decision was made in the case on May 9. He took it to the Court of Appeals because he got into a dispute. During this process, I have been constantly subjected to threats, insults, and slander from Hakan K. I keep filing complaints and going back and forth to the courthouses, but I can't get rid of him. For a while now, he has been threatening to burn my face. This threat has completely disturbed my psychology. I live with my family. Today, he came to my family's house, talked to my father at the window, and distracted him to call him outside. My father does not go outside because he trusts him. Since my father did not go outside, he threw acid on my father's face. My sister acted as a shield and was also injured on her arms. If I had been at home, he would have burned my face with that acid," she said.
"I WANT TO GET RID OF THIS BEFORE I DIE" Karslıoğlu said, "He constantly threatens me in this way. Because of him, I can't go to work properly. I can't go anywhere; this man has become a trouble for me, and I can't get rid of him. I want to divorce and get rid of this. I want him to be arrested. I want to get rid of him without him causing me any harm. I don't want anyone to do anything for me after I die. I want to get rid of this man right now. Otherwise, I will suffer serious harm from this person," she said.
ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON Hakan K., who had 19 previous criminal records, attempted to take his own life in an empty construction site in the Fatih neighborhood of Sultanbeyli. Hakan K. was taken into custody by the police there. The suspect, against whom legal proceedings were initiated, was handed over to the Family Violence Bureau of the Esenyurt District Police Department. Hakan K. was arrested by the court he was brought to on Sunday, May 19, and sent to prison.
