ARGUMENT QUICKLY TURNED INTO VIOLENCE
According to information obtained, the incident took place around 11:30 PM last night in the Orhaniye neighborhood of Menteşe district. An argument broke out between Niyazi B. and his girlfriend Sevil Işıktekin for an undetermined reason. As the tension escalated, Niyazi B. began mercilessly beating Işıktekin.
Upon hearing the sounds of the fight and violence, nearby citizens reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, and health and police teams were quickly dispatched to the area.
PAINFUL WAIT AT THE HOSPITAL ENDED IN DEATH
Severely injured Sevil Işıktekin was taken to Muğla Training and Research Hospital by ambulance after initial first aid at the scene. The young woman, who was placed in intensive care, could not be saved despite all medical interventions and passed away around noon today.
SUSPECT REFERRED TO COURTHOUSE
Immediately after the incident, the suspect Niyazi B. was apprehended and taken into custody by police. After the completion of procedures at the police station, he was referred to the courthouse under heavy security measures. An investigation into the incident continues.
