The Trabzon Governorate made a written statement regarding the rope violence against the dog that sparked reactions. The statement said, "Following the images circulating on social media indicating that a dog was being tortured, our Governorate has immediately taken action. In a study conducted by our Yomra District Gendarmerie Command in coordination with the Yomra District Governorate, the person who committed the act was identified and captured, and the situation was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office. Legal and administrative proceedings have been initiated against the person in question."

Yomra Municipality also shared a post on social media regarding the issue, announcing that they would follow the process. The post included the following statements: "We have learned with sadness about an incident of violence against an animal that occurred in our Kaşüstü neighborhood. The relevant person has been detained by the gendarmerie, and legal proceedings have been initiated. We also inform the public that we will follow the process until the end.
As Yomra Municipality, we cannot accept any violence against animals. It deeply saddens us to be associated with such incidents that do not befit our district and Trabzon. As a district that respects animal rights and values nature and all living beings, we will continue to carry out the necessary work with determination to prevent similar incidents from happening again."
