The terrorist organization stated in its announcement today; 'With the decision taken at its 12th Congress, it has declared that it has ended the armed activities it has carried out under the name of PKK and has dissolved the PKK.' To target the rights that our nation won with the War of Independence and had approved by its counterparts in Lausanne, to target the founding principles of the Republic of Turkey and the 1924 Constitution, and to accuse our nation of 'denial', 'destruction', 'genocide', and 'assimilation' is not only ideological but also a great slander and a legal terrorist attack. The messages of the terrorist organization are not only directed at the Turkish public. In the statement, by calling for disarmament under the supervision of the UN, we also see that the organization is trying to turn the issue from being a security issue that is an internal matter of Turkey into an international problem that will be determined by third countries.
