According to allegations, F.C., the 35-year-old neighbor of the family living right next to the newly furnished house, along with G.C., first broke down the wall of their own house with a sledgehammer and then broke into Sağlam's house by breaking down its wall. The suspects took two televisions, white goods, furniture, carpets, small household appliances, and chandeliers from the house and transported them to their own home. Afterward, F.C. and G.C. bricked up and plastered the wall of the house and disappeared. Ahmet Sağlam's sister, who was shocked upon returning home, reported the situation to the police. ONE ARRESTED, THE OTHER RELEASEDAfter the incident, police teams initiated a search to capture the suspects and took fingerprints from the house. The teams, which started technical and physical surveillance, captured G.C. on December 2. They determined that F.C. had fled to Ankara and then came to İzmir, identifying the address where he was hiding. The teams arrested F.C. in an operation. G.C. was released under judicial control by the court after his procedures at the police station on December 3, while F.C., who reportedly said, "I fell into a momentary lapse. I was drunk, and that's why I committed the act," was arrested by the court after his procedures at the police station yesterday.
