Ibrahim Ak, a 30-year-old from Istanbul, filed a complaint against the company, claiming that the electric car he purchased broke down shortly after and that he has not been able to receive it from the service for about 6 months. The car owner, who has only been going to and from the service with the brand new vehicle, sought help from the authorities.
According to allegations, İbrahim Ak, who lives in the Arnavutköy District of Istanbul, purchased an electric car on November 3, 2025. After using the vehicle for about a month, he stated that it began to malfunction continuously and left it at the service on December 3, 2025. Despite approximately 6 months passing, the vehicle has still not been delivered to its buyer. The 30-year-old citizen, who stated that he bought a brand new car with all his investment, requested help from the authorities.
"I BOUGHT A NEW CAR BUT IT CONSTANTLY MALFUNCTIONED" Describing the process he experienced, İbrahim Ak expressed that the vehicle had various malfunctions in a short time and said, "I bought an electric vehicle on November 3, 2025. I used the vehicle for about a month. During this period, the vehicle constantly malfunctioned. It had an ABS malfunction, the charging socket did not come out when I plugged it in, and I was stuck at the station. While waiting at a red light on the highway, the vehicle moved on its own, and I was stranded on the road. I called the service, but they did not help. The vehicle has been in service since that date. They told me that the charging socket would be replaced, but there has been no progress for about 6 months. They provided me with a replacement vehicle, but my grievances continue," he said.
Ak also stated that he had planned another investment after purchasing the vehicle, saying, "I was going to sell this vehicle and buy real estate instead. However, I couldn't sell it because the vehicle is in service, and I have been victimized because of this," he said.
"PARTS ARE NOT COMING FROM ABROAD" Claiming that the service officials told him they were waiting for parts, Ak said, "They tell us that parts are not coming from abroad. Sometimes they use expressions like 'it could take a year.' At this point, I don't want the vehicle anymore. I want the price of the vehicle to be refunded. I have given the matter to my lawyers, and legal proceedings have been initiated," he stated.
"THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN LYING IN SERVICE FOR 6 MONTHS" Yakup Ertan, who went to the dealership with Ak and witnessed the process, described the situation as follows: "We went to the company with İbrahim brother. We saw that they have been stalling us for 4-5 months by saying 'your part will come.' The car has been lying in service for about 6 months. İbrahim brother was going to sell this car and buy a house, but he couldn't sell it because the vehicle is in service and has been victimized. He was told things like 'your car could come in 6 months or it could take a year.'" he said.
It was learned that İbrahim Ak has filed a complaint against the company and that the matter has been taken to mediation and legal proceedings.
