REFUSED TO BLOW INTO BREATHALYZER
The incident occurred on Turizm Street in Minarecik Mahallesi. According to obtained information, teams from the Provincial Police Department Traffic Supervision Branch, conducting routine alcohol checks on the street, stopped the vehicle with license plate 68 ES 357 on suspicion.
After checking the license and registration, police assessed that driver Kemal Görkem Ç. (24) might be under the influence of alcohol based on his demeanor and actions, and extended a breathalyzer to him. The driver's refusal to blow into the breathalyzer and the police teams' efforts to persuade him were captured on camera moment by moment.
FINE OF 352 THOUSAND LIRA IMPOSED
The driver, who kept the police teams running around for minutes, did not agree to blow into the breathalyzer under any circumstances. Consequently, the teams fined the driver a total of 352,719 lira for 'refusing to blow into the breathalyzer' and various other violations. Meanwhile, 40 license points were deducted from the driver, and their license was confiscated for 5 years. The vehicle was handed over to a relative called to the scene.
