35-year-old Emre Örer, who trades in the Arsuz district, began to see the Renault brand 1970 model sedan Toros car that they had to sell in 2003 due to financial difficulties after his father's death in 2018 in his dreams. After a series of dreams, Örer's life focused on the Toros that his father had sold due to financial difficulties. After his research, Örer wanted to buy the car belonging to his father in Kahramanmaraş, but the owners neither sold it nor set a price. Returning to Hatay without being able to buy the car, Örer went back to Kahramanmaraş about a year later due to the continuation of the dreams and managed to buy his father's car after long efforts years later. After purchasing the car and returning to Arsuz, Örer spent 150,000 TL on the vehicle in 2019. With the purchase of the car, the dreams that had ended and the admiration of those who heard about what he did, Örer stated that he would leave the heirloom he cherishes to his 8-year-old child.

"THE CAR CAME INTO MY DREAMS AFTER MY FATHER'S DEATH"

35-year-old Emre Örer expressed that he took action to buy the car, which is a memory of his late father, due to the effect of the dreams he saw, saying, "In 2003, my late father had to sell this car due to financial difficulties, and my father passed away in 2018. He sold it due to financial reasons before he passed away. After my father's death, I started seeing the car we sold about 15 years ago in my dreams with my father. When you see a dream multiple times, you start to think, questioning why you are seeing this dream. After seeing it multiple times, I said I would try to find this car, and I didn't even know if the car was still in good condition. We researched from the license plate, and our car was found somewhere in the Ilıca district of Kahramanmaraş," he said.

"WE FOUND IT WHILE CARRYING WOOD WITH THE CAR"

Örer stated that he found his father's car in Kahramanmaraş, used communally by villagers and in a decayed state, and expressed that he went back to buy the car a year later after he couldn't buy it on the first attempt, saying, "We immediately went to the car with our friends. We found the car in a decayed state while it was being used to carry wood by its owners on a mountain. When we said we wanted to buy this car back if you allow us, the men were of course surprised; at first, when we told them about the dreams, they reacted as if to say, 'Can such a car really be seen in a dream?' They said, 'We use this car here and we are not thinking of selling it.' We made offers as best as we could, saying if you have another car you want, we can bring it. Just show us a car, and we will buy it for you as long as you give us this car.' While we were doing this, my brothers kindly opened their doors to us as if we were asking for a girl in their house. They didn't want to sell the car, saying if we were going to sell it, we would let you know, and we thought it wouldn't be right to push further, so we returned without buying the car. A year passed, and I started dreaming again, and this time the dreams I saw were very realistic. I took 2-3 of my friends with me and went after the car; they asked the elders because they used it together in the village, and the decision was not coming from a single person. This time they didn't break us. They told us a certain amount with the money of that time, and we didn't break them, we bought the car by giving them the amount they wanted," he expressed.

SPENT 150 THOUSAND LIRA

Örer, who stated that every time he got into his Toros, his memories came alive, expressed that he spent 150,000 TL on his vehicle in 2019 and that he did not repair the damage caused by his 8-year-old self crashing while wanting to drive the car as a memory, saying, "The car's renovation continued for a year, and if we calculate now, it exceeds 600,000 TL. Of course, I spent around 150,000 TL at that time; if you were to do it now, it would be over 600,000 TL. Right now, our car really shows the value we gave it many times over; the originality of the car is a great advantage for us. If it is meant to be, I bought this for my son. I learned to drive in this car; every time I start it, I remember my childhood, and I still feel the smell of my childhood when I get in. It has a very high spiritual value, and I want the same thing from my son now. My child is 8 years old; this car is his, and hopefully, when he reaches our age, he will be able to keep this car for his own children. I hope he can take good care of it; may God not make him feel the need to sell it," he said.
