Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a suspect, wanted for a murder committed 7 years ago, has been captured by JASAT in Antalya with a confirmed prison sentence of 34 years. It was determined that the individual committed the murder due to a land dispute and fled using the identity of a relative.
According to the information shared by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, a person named M.T., who has been wanted for 34 years due to a murder committed 7 years ago in Diyarbakır, was captured by JASAT in a greenhouse in Kumluca district of Antalya.
MURDERED DUE TO LAND DISPUTE
As a result of the efforts of the JASAT teams of the Diyarbakır and Antalya Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Public Order Branch, it was determined that M.T. committed the crime of intentional murder against a citizen named A.Y.A. due to a land dispute, and that the suspect used a relative's identity to escape and worked in the greenhouse to hide.
"188 PEOPLE CAPTURED AND DELIVERED TO JUSTICE IN 11 MONTHS"
In a post where Minister Yerlikaya provided information about the operations conducted against individuals with prison sentences, he stated, "In the first 11 months of this year, we captured 188 thousand individuals with prison sentences, and in the last 2.5 years, we captured 436 thousand individuals and delivered them to justice. We continue to track down criminals day and night for the peace and security of our nation."
