After the approval of the 2026 budget and the 2024 final accounts law in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, a scuffle broke out among the members of parliament. The tension began when CHP Deputy Group Chairman Murat Emir approached AK Party Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank, and it did not go unnoticed that MHP deputies formed a wall of flesh around Devlet Bahçeli.
The 2026 Central Government Budget Law Proposal and the 2024 Central Government Final Account Law Proposal were approved in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). In the voting held in the General Assembly, 320 votes were in favor against 249 "no" votes.
TENSION SUDDENLY INCREASED
With the conclusion of the budget discussions, tension suddenly rose among the members of parliament. The tension began when CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir approached AK Party Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank, quickly escalating into a fight as other AK Party and CHP deputies got involved.
