The search efforts for 69-year-old Alzheimer's patient Necati Çelen, who went missing after leaving his home on August 13 in the Mengen district of Bolu, ended with sad news. During the 12-day efforts carried out by gendarmerie, AFAD, and volunteer search and rescue teams, Çelen's lifeless body was found in a stream bed in a forested area approximately 2 kilometers from his home.
The lifeless body of Necati Çelen, a 69-year-old Alzheimer's patient who was searched for as missing in the Mengen district of Bolu, has been found.
To find Çelen (69), for whom a missing person report was filed on August 13 in the Başyellice village, operations were carried out in the region with 11 personnel from the District Gendarmerie Command, 5 commandos from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, 7 personnel from the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue, 6 vehicles, a drone, and search and tracking dogs.
FOUND IN A STREAM BED
Zonguldak Devrek District Gendarmerie Command and Bolu AFAD, as well as KARAKURT, BAKET, BORAK, İHH, and UMKE teams, also participated in the efforts.
The teams, who continued their work in the region for 12 days, found Çelen dead in a stream bed in a forested area approximately 2 kilometers away from his home.
Çelen's body was taken to the morgue of Mengen State Hospital.
