A dump truck collided with a taxi from behind in the Ereğli district of Zonguldak. The accident, which resulted in the death of Zehra Yolaçan, a 45-year-old woman who came to the city from Italy with her family to spend her vacation, and the injury of 5 people, including 6 pedestrians hit by the taxi, was captured on security cameras.

The accident occurred yesterday around 18:00 on the bridge on Atatürk Boulevard in Müftü neighborhood of Ereğli. The dump truck driven by Sedat Ç. collided with the taxi driven by Emirhan Parlak from behind. The taxi, which lost control due to the impact, hit Erdem Yolaçan, his wife Zehra Yolaçan, his daughter Buse Yolaçan, his sister Çiğdem Yıldız, and her husband Niyazi Yıldız, and fell into the riverbed.

In the accident, taxi driver Emirhan Parlak, Erdem Yolaçan, his wife Zehra Yolaçan, his daughter Buse Yolaçan, his sister Çiğdem Yıldız, and her husband Niyazi Yıldız were injured. Upon the notification, the police, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were given first aid by the health teams and taken to various hospitals by ambulances. Zehra Yolaçan, who was seriously injured and fell into the riverbed in the accident, could not be saved despite the interventions at a private hospital.

It was learned that Zehra Yolaçan, who lost her life in the accident, came to her hometown with her family to spend her vacation from Italy and it was her first day. It was also learned that Çiğdem Yıldız, the sister of Erdem Yolaçan, and her husband Niyazi Yıldız came from Switzerland. The police initiated an investigation into the accident, and the truck driver was taken into custody and taken to the police station.
