The red-and-whites stated that Luan Campos, along with his family, took his belongings from the facilities late last night and left for Sivas, and then for Turkey. It was expressed that Campos, who did not respond to the phone calls of Sivasspor club officials, left the city without any communication with the team. Following the incident, the club published an official statement to the public.
The statement from Sivasspor included the following remarks:
"Our professional football player Luan Campos left our facilities without permission and without providing any justification, taking his belongings late last night; subsequently, we were informed by an unlawful notification sent by a person who is not his legal representative that the contract between the parties has been terminated. We are expecting a proper termination notice from the player, and after receiving it, necessary legal steps will be taken against the player before the competent authorities due to the unjustified termination of the contract. As Özbelsan Sivasspor, our primary priority is to protect the rights of our club and to defend the interests of our community at the highest level.
