The question of whether the minutes from the visit of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission to Imralı will be shared with the public has become a matter of curiosity. Tülay Hatimoğulları, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, stated that the Imralı visit was "historic and positive," and she mentioned that they would demand the release of the minutes to the public, adding that a decision on this matter would be made in the commission tomorrow.

The process of a Terror-Free Turkey, initiated by the historic call of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, saw the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan yesterday at the Imralı High Security Prison.

HATIMOĞULLARI: THE VISIT WAS HISTORICAL AND POSITIVE

DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları stated that the Commission's visit to Imralı was "historical and positive" and made striking statements following her party's group meeting.

"WE CAN SAY THE MEETING WAS POSITIVE"

In response to a question about whether the minutes of the Imralı meeting would be shared with the public, Hatimoğulları said, "It was a meeting that everyone was expecting. We can say that the meeting was positive. The detailed statement regarding this will be made by the commission chairman Numan Kurtulmuş after the commission meets tomorrow."

"MINUTES SHOULD BE OPEN TO EVERYONE"

Hatimoğulları expressed, "We want the minutes to be open to everyone. But the decision will be made in the commission tomorrow. We will also propose that it be made public there. We would like it to be shared in a way that the entire Turkish public can see."

WHAT HAPPENED?

As part of the 'Terror-Free Turkey' goal, the delegation of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission went to Imralı. In a statement made by the Turkish Grand National Assembly, it was noted, "The National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, has met 18 times since its first meeting on August 5, 2025, and has conducted listening activities towards the relevant parties. In the latest 18th meeting held on November 21, 2025, a qualified majority decision was made regarding the listening of Abdullah Öcalan at the Imralı High Security Prison. In line with this decision, the delegation went to the Imralı High Security Prison on November 24, 2025. In this context, detailed statements were taken regarding the organization's self-dissolution and disarmament following the Peace and Democratic Society Call made on February 27, as well as questions regarding the implementation of the March 10 agreement in Syria. As a result of the meeting, positive outcomes were achieved in terms of social integration, strengthening of brotherhood, and positively advancing the process towards a regional perspective. The Commission will continue its determined and resolute attitude towards achieving its goals in the upcoming process. Respectfully announced to the public."
