During a food inspection conducted in the Aksu district of Antalya, approximately 25 tons of chicken products past their expiration date were seized.
According to a statement from the Aksu Municipality, the municipality's inspection teams carried out food inspections at 4 cold storage facilities and 1 business in the Çamköy neighborhood.
In the inspections, which also involved teams from the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, approximately 25 tons of chicken that had expired, as well as döner, liver, tripe, and sausage that were produced from these chickens, repackaged, and made ready for sale, were seized.
Aksu Mayor İsa Yıldırım, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they would never allow those who play with public health and noted that inspections would continue.
Inspection Director Kaan Aydın reported that products threatening public health were destroyed.
