A 44-year-old man who jumped from the balcony of an empty apartment on the 17th floor of a building he went to with a real estate agent to rent in Bursa has died.
It was reported that Özgür Demirtaş, who fell from the balcony of the apartment on the 17th floor of the building he went to with a real estate agent to rent, died by suicide.
JUMPED FROM THE BALCONY WHILE VIEWING A VACANT RENTAL APARTMENT
The incident occurred yesterday around 3:00 PM in a 23-story apartment building on Kiremitçi Street in the Doğanbey neighborhood of Osmangazi district. Özgür Demirtaş, stating that he was looking for a rental house, agreed with real estate agent Sude G. and went to see a vacant apartment on the 17th floor of a building. While touring the apartment, Demirtaş went out to the balcony and fell to the concrete ground after climbing over the railing.
DIED
Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. During the inspection by the teams, it was determined that 44-year-old Demirtaş had died. After the examination, Demirtaş's lifeless body was taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
While the investigation related to the incident is ongoing, it was reported that real estate agent Sude G. stated in her testimony at the police station that Özgür Demirtaş, whom she showed the apartment to for rent, went out to the balcony and let himself fall into the void.
