In Adana, during a fight between two brothers who were at odds over rent sharing, Ercan Palaz shot his elder brother with a pistol, while his brother Muhammet Palaz stabbed and killed him. After receiving treatment, Muhammet Palaz was taken into custody and arrested.
In Adana, Muhammet Palaz (55), who stabbed his brother Ercan Palaz (49) in various parts of his body during a scuffle after Ercan shot him with a pistol, was taken into custody following his hospital treatment. It emerged that Ercan Palaz had not equally distributed the rent from their father's shop among the siblings, which was the cause of the feud.
The incident occurred on June 7, around 8:00 PM, in the Yenidoğan neighborhood of Yüreğir district. When Muhammet Palaz encountered his brother Ercan Palaz, with whom he had a feud over money matters, a dispute broke out. As the argument escalated into a fight, Ercan Palaz shot his brother in the groin with a pistol. Despite being wounded, Muhammet Palaz attacked his brother, stabbing Ercan Palaz in various parts of his body before collapsing. Ercan Palaz was declared dead, while Muhammet Palaz was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
DISCHARGED AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
In the investigation launched by police teams into the incident, it was revealed that Ercan Palaz had a feud with his brother because he had rented out their father Cevdet Palaz's shop and did not distribute the rent money equally among the siblings. On the day of the incident, Muhammet Palaz had gone to his brother to discuss the matter, leading to the fight. After completing his treatment at the hospital, Muhammet Palaz was discharged and then taken into custody by the Homicide Bureau teams.
'I DIDN'T WANT TO KILL'
Muhammet Palaz, who was taken to the police station, said in his statement, "He was not distributing the rent income from my father's shop equally among the siblings. When I went to talk to him about this issue, he shot me with a pistol. I stabbed him to defend myself. I didn't want to kill him; I regret it." After being referred to the courthouse following his procedures, Muhammet Palaz was arrested by the court.
