In the Ceyhan district of Adana, a person who went to the home of his wife, from whom he was in the process of divorcing, opened fire with a pistol. The woman, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital where she was taken, while the attacker also shot his 16-year-old sister-in-law, whom he encountered about 100 meters ahead. The young girl, whose condition is serious, was taken to the hospital for treatment, while the suspect, who fled the scene, was quickly caught and detained by police teams.
In the Orhan Ekinci Boulevard of Küçükkırım Neighborhood, affiliated with Ceyhan district of Adana, Yusuf A. (32) went to his estranged wife Asya A. (25), the mother of his 3 children, and opened fire with a pistol consecutively. Asya A., hit by bullets in various parts of her body, collapsed to the ground covered in blood.

After the attack, Yusuf A. went to the house where his wife's family lived about 100 meters ahead, and there he also opened fire on his sister-in-law M.G. (16) whom he encountered. After the two attacks, the suspect fled the scene on his motorcycle.
ONE LOST HER LIFE, THE OTHER'S CONDITION IS SERIOUS
Upon reports from those around, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. Asya A. and M.G., who received initial intervention at the scene, were taken to Ceyhan State Hospital by ambulances. After intervention there, Asya A. was transferred to Adana City Training and Research Hospital. Despite interventions there, Asya A. could not be saved.
Asya A.'s body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy. It was learned that M.G.'s condition is serious.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Yusuf A., who committed the incident, was quickly caught by teams affiliated with the Ceyhan District Police Department. Yusuf A. was taken to the police station for questioning.
