Tourist Alex Soliman from Canada claimed he was robbed by a taxi driver and two women in the vehicle in Karaköy, Istanbul. According to the claim, the suspects locked the doors, took 6,500 liras from the tourist, and forcibly charged 3,375 liras via the POS device. When the tourist objected, they stabbed him in the arms with a knife and fled. It was learned that the victim, who obtained a medical report from the hospital and recorded the attack with his mobile phone, would file a complaint.
Canadian tourist Alex Soliman (28), who was on holiday in Istanbul's Karakoy, became the target of the taxi driver and two women in the vehicle. The young tourist, stating that his money was robbed in the car with locked doors and that he was attacked with a knife when he objected, recorded the terrifying moments second by second with his mobile phone camera.

The incident occurred around 00:00 at night in Beyoglu Karakoy. Alex Soliman, who got into a taxi with license plate 34 TAE 35, claimed that the taxi driver and two women who introduced themselves as 'Eleanor' and 'Aisha' set a trap. Soliman, stating that the doors were locked on them in the vehicle where the taximeter was not turned on, alleged that 6,500 liras in his pocket were forcibly taken, and then a transaction of 3,375 liras was made by swiping his bank card on the POS device.
WHEN HE OBJECTED, THEY ATTACKED WITH A KNIFE
The Canadian tourist, who had lost his money, tried to resist to prevent the suspects from escaping. At that moment, one of the women attacked Soliman with a knife she pulled out inside the taxi. While no one came to the aid of the tourist, who was injured by knife blows to his arms, the taxi driver, instead of intervening, drove the vehicle and quickly fled the scene with the women.
HE WAS HOSPITALIZED AND MADE A CALL ON SOCIAL MEDIA
After the attack, Alex Soliman went to Taksim Training and Research Hospital, where he received treatment and obtained a medical report. According to the doctor's report, it was learned that the tourist had cuts on his arms that did not require stitches and that his life was not in danger. The tourist, who shared the bank receipts, the doctor's report, and the footage of the attack on his social media account, stated that he would file a complaint against the suspects. The police launched an investigation into the incident.
