In a dispute that broke out over an alimony issue in Istanbul's Sancaktepe district, national coach Funda Bakış (39) was stabbed in the chest by her former employee and died. Three suspects were detained in connection with the incident.
THE STABBER WAS HER FORMER EMPLOYEE
The incident occurred on Sevenler Street in the Abdurrahmangazi neighborhood. A dispute arose between Funda Bakış and Z.G. (21), who was identified as having previously worked at her gym. The situation escalated into a fight, and Z.G. injured Bakış in the chest with a knife he had on him. Despite all interventions by health teams dispatched to the area upon the notification, the national coach lost her life.
DEBT LOAN EMERGED BEHIND THE MURDER
During the investigations conducted by police teams, the details behind the incident became clear. It was determined that the suspect Z.G. had taken out a loan and given it to his boss during the period he worked at Bakış's gym, and that there was an alimony-related hostility between the two for this reason.
After the incident, the murder suspect Z.G., who had fled, along with A.H.U. (21) and E.Ş. (21), who were determined to have been involved in the fight, were caught by police teams and taken into custody.
It was learned that among the suspects, whose procedures at the police station are ongoing, Z.G. had a police record for "insult" and A.H.U. for "intentional injury."
