Kocaelispor has unilaterally terminated the contract of Malian footballer Habib Ali Keita for just cause. The green-and-blacks stated that Keita, who is said to have gone to the girl he was in love with, did not attend pre-season camps, training sessions, and this season's matches without permission, and they will file a lawsuit against the player at the FIFA Football Tribunal seeking sporting sanctions and compensation.

In the club's statement, it was noted that Keita did not attend pre-season preparation camps and trainings without permission or excuse. It was also stated that the Malian footballer was not with his team during the matches played this season.
NOTICES WERE SENT
Kocaelispor also announced that formal notices were sent to Keita to fulfill his obligations arising from the contract. The club argued that, despite the warnings, the player violated his contractual obligations in a 'serious and persistent manner.'
The management stated that this situation made the continuation of the relationship between the parties unbearable for Kocaelispor, and reported that the contract was therefore terminated unilaterally and for just cause.
KOCAELISPOR GOES TO FIFA
The green-and-black club will not conclude the process regarding Habib Ali Keita with the contract termination. Kocaelispor announced that it will file a lawsuit against the player before the FIFA Football Tribunal, seeking sporting sanctions and compensation.
The club also stated that any third club entering into its first contractual relationship with Keita after the termination will also be included in the lawsuit under the principle of joint and several liability.
