Abdullah Tokdemir, 65, lost his life in a car that rear-ended a vehicle stopped on the road to assist in a truck overturning accident in Aksaray. It was learned that Tokdemir had set out for Konya Airport to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca.
A traffic accident occurred at around 04:30 on the 18th kilometer of the Aksaray-Konya highway. According to the information obtained, a truck loaded with animal feed, driven by Mustafa C. (52), traveling from Aksaray towards Konya, lost control due to the driver losing steering command and overturned onto the median strip.
VEHICLE STOPPED TO HELP IN THE ACCIDENT WAS HIT FROM BEHIND Mehmet Bingöl (53), driving a vehicle traveling in the same direction from Bingöl to Manisa, saw the accident and stopped on the right side of the road with his hazard lights on to offer help. Just as he was about to get out of the car, an automobile driven by Gökhan T. (38), also heading in the same direction, failed to notice the stopped vehicle and crashed into it from behind.
MAN ON HIS WAY TO HAJJ PILGRIMAGE LOSES HIS LIFE In the first accident, truck driver Mustafa C. was injured, while in the second accident, a total of 6 people were injured: the driver of the rear-ending vehicle, Gökhan T., and passengers Halil İbrahim T., Perihan T., Elif T., and Abdullah Tokdemir (65). Abdullah Tokdemir, 65, who was learned to have set out for Konya Airport to go on the Hajj pilgrimage, was taken to Aksaray Education and Research Hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life.
