In the Yeşilyurt district of Malatya, a father went berserk and sprayed bullets on his own family. In the horrifying incident, mother Feray Timurkaan and her daughter Beyza Timurkaan, who lost their lives, were buried side by side amid tears, while the other daughter, seriously injured, continues her fight for life at the hospital. In his initial statement, the father claimed he was depressed.
The Yeşilyurt district of Malatya, the excuse that the perpetrator who rained bullets on his family in his own home took refuge in was mind-boggling.
The incident occurred yesterday evening on Salkımsöğüt Street in İnönü Neighborhood. Nevzat Timurkaan, who was claimed to have psychological issues, argued with his wife and two daughters at home for an unknown reason. After the argument quickly escalated, Nevzat Timurkaan took a pistol from the house and fired at his wife Feray and daughters Berra and Beyza Timurkaan. While his wife and daughters collapsed from the bullets hitting their bodies, Nevzat Timurkaan then wounded himself with a knife.
THEY WERE BURIED
Upon the neighbors hearing the gunshots and reporting it, numerous health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Injured mother Feray, her daughters Berra and Beyza, and Nevzat Timurkaan were taken to various hospitals in the city by ambulances. Among the injured, Beyza and mother Feray Timurkaan lost their lives. The bodies of the deceased mother and daughter were brought to Malatya City Cemetery after autopsy procedures at the Malatya Forensic Medicine Institute and buried following the funeral prayer.
HE WAS DEPRESSED
It was learned that Nevzat Timurkaan, who committed the act and had been receiving psychological treatment for a while, said in his initial statement, while being treated at the hospital under police escort, that he was depressed. The investigation into the incident continues.
