This evening, guesting on a television program, Criminal Law Expert Prof. Dr. Ersan Şen and DEVA Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Emin Ekmen discussed the 'new dialogue process' while failing to establish a dialogue and instead arguing. The program was marked by Ekmen's strong statements directed at Şen.

After DEVA Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Emin Ekmen stated, "There are separatist political parties and organizations in Turkey. However, there is no political party in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey that aims to separate a part of the territory of the Republic of Turkey and establish another state," Prof. Dr. Ersan Şen lost his temper.

"NO NEED TO PLAY THE THREE MONKEYS"

Reacting to Ekmen's words, Şen said: "If we are going to talk about the truths, there is no need for us to play the three monkeys with each other. There is a political party advocating for autonomy under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. You know this, why don’t you say it? You reduce Turkish citizenship to ethnic origin; how can we agree with you? You cannot beautify the political party advocating for autonomy in front of me. You don’t even know what Turkish national identity is. You are making ethnic origin discrimination."

"FIRST, ACCOUNT FOR THE MAFIAS YOU HAVE BEEN A LAWYER FOR"

In response to Şen's tense demeanor, Ekmen replied:

"Know your limits, professor; we are not your students, this is not a university. Be respectful, know your place. You don’t know what you are saying. First, account for the money you received from the contractors that caused the deaths of hundreds of people. Fear God. Account for the mafias you have been a lawyer for. Account for the drug cartels. Fear God."
