In Kağıthane, Istanbul, a woman named Nuran Şimşek was shot and killed by her ex-husband Enis S., from whom she had divorced a while ago. The man, who picked Şimşek up from her home under the pretense of talking, left the woman bleeding as she tried to get out of the vehicle.
Enis S. (45), who had recently divorced his wife Nuran Şimşek (43), took her from her home in Kağıthane under the pretext of talking, and after a dispute in the taxi, shot his ex-wife with a gun. The woman, who was shot in the head, died at the scene, while the suspect was caught with the weapon he used to commit the crime while trying to escape.
The incident occurred around 09:00 in the İmrahor Street of the Merkez neighborhood. According to allegations, Enis S. took his ex-wife Nuran Şimşek from her home in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy neighborhood by taxi under the pretext of talking. Enis S. then told the taxi driver Ali Y. to drive towards Beykoz. While the taxi was moving, a dispute broke out between Enis S. and Şimşek.
HE FIRED AFTER HER
Nuran Şimşek, who opened the door of the taxi that had stopped in traffic, tried to get out of the vehicle. Enis S., who drew his gun, fired at Şimşek from behind. Enis S. also fired at taxi driver Ali Y., who reacted to him, but did not hit him.
FIRED 2 MORE SHOTS WHILE SHE WAS ON THE GROUND
The woman collapsed to the ground after being hit in the head. It was learned that Enis S. fired two more shots under Şimşek's chin and then fled on foot towards Hasdal. The suspect was later apprehended by the police from the Kağıthane Patrol Teams with the weapon he used in the incident. Nuran Şimşek's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the work of the public prosecutor and the crime scene investigation teams.
It was learned that Enis S. and Şimşek were in their second marriage, and both had one child from their first marriages. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
