Trendyol drew 1-1 with Alanyaspor in the first week of the Süper Lig. Eyüpspor's coach, Arda Turan, who was sent off with a red card by referee Oğuzhan Çakır in the 77th minute of the match, made statements regarding the incident. SUPER LEAGUE STARTED WITH A RED CARD
Eyüpspor, coached by Arda Turan, visited Alanyaspor in the first week of the Süper Lig. The sidelines got heated after Alanyaspor scored the equalizer in the 77th minute. Arda Turan, who made his debut as a coach in the Süper Lig, showed a very strong reaction to the referee of the match. The young coach sent his players to the sidelines for substitutions before the goal of the Mediterranean team, but the substitutions did not happen. "First of all, I would like to thank the people of Alanya and Alanyaspor for their hospitality. It was great to meet my dear brother Fatih Tekke in the first match of the season. I congratulate both Alanyaspor players and my own players for their efforts in this heat.
"IT WAS A COACHING LESSON FOR ME"
We knew that Alanyaspor wanted to have possession of the ball. We tried to repel it with our high press and we were successful at times, but after the middle of the first half, they broke our press and created chances, played well. We responded to their pressure by deepening our game. In the second half, we chose to wait. This was a new coaching lesson for me. We tried to play behind the ball and defend as a block. I think we presented a match in which we developed ourselves and entertained the viewers.
Since the beginning of the season, like all other teams, we have been working in very hot weather and at a high pace to prepare for the season. As a coach who made his debut in the Süper Lig and, most importantly, sacrificed one of his players to a long-term injury during the match, I will speak to beautify and improve every aspect of football.
