In the Nazilli district of Aydın, 21-year-old V.D. went to the home of his ex-girlfriend Kumsal K. (20), with whom he had been arguing on the phone, and shot the young woman in the head with a pistol. While the severely injured Kumsal K. is fighting for her life in the hospital, the suspect, who fled after the incident, was caught by police teams while he was about to attempt suicide in a cemetery. It was revealed that the suspect had a criminal record.
A dispute between ex-lovers in the Nazilli district of Aydın ended in bloodshed. Twenty-year-old Kumsal K. was seriously injured after being shot in the head by her ex-boyfriend. The attacker who fled the scene was caught as a result of the work of police teams.
AFTER THE ARGUMENT ON THE PHONE, HE WENT TO HER HOME
The incident occurred around 14:00 on the third floor of Öğüt Can Apartment Building on Hürriyet Street in Karaçay Neighborhood of Nazilli district. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out for a reason not yet determined during a phone call between 21-year-old V.D. and his ex-girlfriend Kumsal K. After the argument, V.D. went to the home of the young woman, who lived with her mother. The verbal argument between the ex-lovers, who came face to face again here, quickly turned into a fight.
HE SHOT HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND IN THE HEAD AND FLED
As the argument escalated, V.D. shot Kumsal K. in the head with the handgun he drew from his waist. While the young woman collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, the attacker fled the scene. Upon the report of neighbors who heard the gunshots coming from the apartment building, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Medical personnel who reached the address gave first aid to the seriously injured young woman. Kumsal K. was then taken to Nazilli State Hospital by ambulance.
CONDITION OF 20-YEAR-OLD YOUNG WOMAN CRITICAL
Kumsal K., who received initial treatment at Nazilli State Hospital, was transferred to Aydın Adnan Menderes University Hospital due to the severity of her wound. It was reported that the health condition of the 20-year-old young woman, who was placed under treatment here, remained serious. Police teams launched an operation to catch V.D., who fled after the attack.
CAUGHT WHILE ABOUT TO ATTEMPT SUICIDE IN A CEMETERY
It was determined that V.D., who tried to cover his tracks after the attack, was located at Eğriboyun Cemetery. Police teams who went to the area caught the suspect, who was about to attempt suicide, along with the weapon used in the crime. It was stated that V.D. had a previous record for the crimes of 'using drugs' and 'armed injury.'
