In the Kilimli district of Zonguldak, Ercan D., who was arguing in the middle of the street with his wife, from whom he was in the process of divorcing, opened fire with a gun at his wife and the young man who intervened in the argument. While two people seriously injured in the attack remain in critical condition, it has emerged that there was a preventive measure order against the fleeing suspect.
In the Çatalağzı town of Kilimli district in Zonguldak, an argument broke out in the middle of the street between Ercan D. (48) and his wife Burçin D. (41), who was in the process of divorcing him.
HE PULLED THE TRIGGER REPEATEDLY AND FLED
Emre Ç. (27) also intervened in the argument. After the argument, Ercan D. opened fire with a gun on his wife and Emre Ç. and fled the scene. Burçin D. and Emre Ç., who were injured in the armed attack, were taken to Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital by medical teams. It was learned that Burçin D. was conscious and Emre Ç. was unconscious. It was reported that both injured people remain in life-threatening condition. Relatives of the injured who heard about the incident came to the hospital.
IT EMERGED THAT A PREVENTIVE MEASURE ORDER WAS IN PLACE
It was learned that a preventive measure order had previously been issued against Ercan D., for whom police teams had launched efforts to capture. It was stated that the order is valid until November 21, 2026. An investigation into the incident was launched on the instruction of the public prosecutor, while efforts to capture the suspect continue.
