In Diyarbakır, a 58-year-old man ambushed his religiously married wife, stabbing the 40-year-old woman 30 times. The woman survived after three days in intensive care, but stated that her life is in danger if the attacker is released and requested protection.
RETURNED AFTER SEPARATION, STARTED A FIGHT
The incident occurred on April 3. According to information obtained, M.Z.B. (58) and F.D. (40) had a 16-year relationship. It was learned that the couple, who had separated some time ago, reunited four days before the incident. M.Z.B. accused F.D. of cheating on him and started a fight.
AMBUSHED IN THE MORNING
After the fight, around 6:00 AM, F.D. tried to call M.Z.B., who left the house, back to talk, but she was attacked at the building entrance. The ambushing assailant stabbed the woman in 30 different parts of her body.
FOUGHT FOR LIFE IN INTENSIVE CARE FOR THREE DAYS
Severely injured, F.D., mother of two, was taken to the hospital and treated in intensive care for three days. She survived thanks to doctors' intervention.
ALLEGATION: 'I WILL KILL HER WHEN I GET OUT'
It was learned that M.Z.B., arrested after the incident, was sent to prison. However, it was alleged that the attacker told people who visited him in prison, 'I will kill that woman when I get out.' Consequently, F.D. requested authorities to ensure her safety and not release the attacker.
'HE THREATENED ME WITH UGLY WORDS'
F.D. stated that she had been having problems with her religiously married husband of 16 years for the last year and a half, saying: 'He constantly wanted a divorce. He would take me in front of people and say I divorce you. I kept quiet for my children, and he threatened me with ugly words. He said, 'You are cheating on me. I will humiliate you in front of everyone.'
'HE TOOK ME TO THE MOSQUE AND DIVORCED ME IN FRONT OF THE IMAM'
'In the last incident, he took me to the mosque and tried to divorce me in the presence of an imam and witnesses. Four days after the divorce, he came back and tried to settle in the house. I kept quiet out of fear because he was saying ugly things. I couldn't speak up for my two children. Then he kept saying, 'You are cheating on me with someone else, that's why you are indifferent to me.' For three days, he had a knife in his pocket. A black-handled knife. I saw it but thought maybe he was fixing his car and needed it, because he was always tinkering with his car. Later, he regretted the divorce and blamed me. He said, 'I was angry. You forced me, I divorced you.' I mentioned that we were divorced. He couldn't accept it. He said, 'No, I didn't divorce you.' But he divorced me in front of witnesses. He started threatening me. Of course, I ignored it.'
'HE CLOSED THE MAIN DOOR AND STABBED ME IN THE BACK MANY TIMES'
'At midnight, he pretended to be asleep. When I went to get water, I took my phone and put it in rice. He came, grabbed the phone from my hand, took the bread knife, and left the house. I went downstairs so he wouldn't harm anyone. With my little daughter, I kept checking if our car door was broken? He is angry, I don't want him to hurt anyone, so I went and checked the car—he wasn't there. I went down many times. Finally, I got tired and came home. I tried to lie down. I fell asleep. I woke up at 6:10 AM. My child had an alarm for school. Before waking her, I went downstairs. I thought maybe he is cold, it's a sin. I decided to bring him inside and let him come home. I went, opened the car door, saw he wasn't there. I went inside. As soon as I entered the building door, I saw him from behind. He closed the main door and stabbed me in the back many times. I collapsed. Even after I collapsed, he didn't stop. He missed my lung, heart, and brain by millimeters, my lung collapsed. I had a pulmonary embolism due to respiratory failure. I faced near death. I was treated in the hospital for three days. Then I came back. I applied to all relevant authorities.'
'I AM AFRAID HE WILL FINISH THE UNFINISHED JOB'
'I trust my state. I am sure it will do what is necessary. My children went to visit him in prison. He said to my children, 'I wish I had killed her, if I hadn't heard your voices, I would have killed her.' My children came home and said, 'Mom, Dad says this.' I am afraid he will finish the unfinished job, frankly. He will get out and kill me again. I am sure of that. I have infinite trust in my state that he will not be released.'
