In the Hoşnudiye Neighborhood of Eskişehir's Tepebaşı district, at İsmet İnönü-1 Street, a person named M.A.D. (45) entered a jewelry store as a customer yesterday around 16:30. Stating that they would make a bulk purchase, the individual asked for help from the female employees in the store. Y.Y. (28), a female store employee who wanted to assist the customer, was subjected to physical harassment by the said person.

The woman, initially unable to understand what was happening, went to the cash register to scan the product barcodes and calculate the total. The individual, who asked for a stool to sit on while waiting, exposed his genitalia in front of the female store employee. Upon hearing screams from inside, police intervened, and the perpetrator was handcuffed and taken into custody. After processing at the police station, the individual was referred to court today and was arrested on charges of 'Simple Sexual Assault' and sent to prison.

Describing the incident, Y.Y. said, 'First, the man entered as a customer. Since it seemed like a bulk sale, we started handing out baskets. While handing out baskets, he first touched my chest area, using the pretext of looking at my necklace. At first, I didn't understand what was happening. Then he continued picking up items. Later, he touched me again, this time more forcefully. Then he said, 'That necklace is very beautiful' and such. I said, 'What are you doing?'"

Y.Y., saying she reported the situation to the plainclothes police outside, stated, 'I asked the police to come inside. They came and began observing the man's actions. Then the man said, 'I'm done with all my purchases, I'll take these.' He locked us at the register. Meanwhile, he asked, 'Can I wait here? Do you have a stool?' I gave him a stool, and he sat down. I was scanning the barcodes and counting the items. At that moment, I was about to say, 'Maybe you can wait outside,' when I saw the man shamelessly performing acts there. Then I shouted, 'What are you doing?' The police immediately turned around and came. I asked for the camera footage immediately. The footage arrived, and I showed it to the police. Then they handcuffed him and put him in the car.'

The victim woman, stating that the person maintained eye contact with her even inside the police vehicle, continued her statement as follows:
'He was grinning in a silly way. Later we went to the hospital, and when we encountered him there, he was still staring at me intensely. I feel bad. I couldn't sleep at night; the event keeps replaying in my mind, and I keep tensing up. I'm having a panic attack. My blood ran cold because it happened during the day, while there were people inside. It started around a quarter past four and lasted until 16:30-16:50. Apparently, this man had a similar incident before. I hope those like him get punished.'
