Seydi Şahin, who lived separately from his wife Nazime Şahin and daughter Fatma Nur Şahin, killed them with a gun in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul. A man who went insane in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul, shot and killed his wife and daughter with a gun. After the incident, the father Seydi Şahin surrendered to the police station. After the examinations at the scene, the bodies of the mother and daughter were taken to the Forensic Medicine Morgue, and it was learned that the mother, Nazime Şahin, was trapped under the rubble for 4 days and was rescued injured in a collapsed building in Malatya during the earthquakes on February 6.
The incident took place around 15:00 on Timur Street in Vatan Neighborhood, Bayrampaşa. According to the information obtained, Seydi Şahin, a 68-year-old father who is claimed to have gone insane, came to the house where his wife lived in Bayrampaşa to talk.
SHOT HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER
After the argument between the couple, the father Seydi Şahin, who went insane, first injured his 62-year-old wife Nazime Şahin with a gun. Then, he shot his 29-year-old daughter Fatma Nur Şahin in another room. Then, the father left the house and went away. Citizens who heard the gunshots informed the police and health teams about the situation. After the notification, the health teams who arrived at the scene determined that the injured mother and daughter had died after the initial intervention.
SURRENDERED TO THE POLICE
Police teams took security measures by drawing a security line to the street where the incident took place. After the examinations, the bodies of the mother and daughter were taken to the Forensic Medicine Morgue. After leaving the house after the incident, the father Seydi Şahin surrendered to the Bayrampaşa District Police Department.
MOTHER WAS TRAPPED UNDER THE RUBBLE FOR 4 DAYS
Meanwhile, it was learned that Nazime Şahin, who lost her life due to the bullet from her husband, was trapped under the rubble for 4 days after the earthquake that occurred in Malatya, where she went for a visit on February 6, and was later rescued injured. It was also learned that Fatma Nur Şahin had recently been appointed as a Turkish language teacher.
The owner of the house where the mother and daughter lived said that the family had been tenants for 10 years and that the father lived in his hometown. Selahattin Orhan said, "While I was upstairs, we saw the police entering the street quickly. We were shocked as a neighborhood. They were good people. She was trapped under the rubble for 4 days in Malatya. Unfortunately, her husband took her own life and her daughter's life. I have never seen her husband. I wish it hadn't happened. We are sorry. They were here because of their children."
