The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a written statement reacting to the U.S. attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities. The statement included the following: "With the U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, the risk of escalation of conflicts has reached its highest level. The only solution to the dispute regarding Iran's nuclear program is through negotiations."
The USA struck three nuclear facilities in Iran with B-2 stealth bombers, known as "bunker busters." After the attack, US President Donald Trump stated, "We have successfully completed our attack on three nuclear facilities, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan in Iran. All aircraft are now outside Iranian airspace. A full bomb was dropped on the primary facility, Fordo. All aircraft have safely headed home. We congratulate our great American warriors. There is no other army in the world that can do this. This is a great victory. Now is the time for peace."
IRAN'S RETALIATION AGAINST THE USA
Following the attack on the 10th day of the war between Israel and Iran, the Tehran administration retaliated against Israel. In the Iranian army's attacks, which rained missiles on Tel Aviv and Haifa, at least 27 people were injured.
"THE RISK HAS REACHED THE HIGHEST LEVEL"
In the war between Israel and Iran, the first statement from Turkey regarding the US aircraft striking nuclear facilities in Iran has been made. In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted, "As Turkey, we have repeatedly drawn attention to the risk of the conflict, which began with Israeli aggression in the region, spreading and destabilizing the security environment. The attack carried out by the USA today (June 22) on Iran's nuclear facilities has escalated this risk to the highest level."
"TURKEY IS DEEPLY CONCERNED"
The statement recorded that Turkey is deeply concerned about the potential consequences of the attack, stating, "The ongoing developments could lead to the regional conflict being escalated to a global level. We do not want this catastrophic scenario to come to life."
"THE ONLY SOLUTION IS NEGOTIATION"
"We call on all relevant parties to act responsibly, to mutually cease attacks at this moment, and to avoid steps that could lead to further loss of life and destruction," the statement emphasized, highlighting that the only solution lies in negotiation.
"TURKEY IS READY TO DO ITS PART"
The statement also called on the international community, saying, "We urge support for efforts to find a diplomatic solution between the parties." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Turkey is ready to fulfill its responsibilities and provide constructive contributions.
