Yaser Koçak, known for his magic shows on the show "You Think You Can Dance" in a past period, was detained in an operation in Bahçelievler on allegations of drug trafficking. Following police procedures, Koçak, in whose home 619 grams of drugs hidden in cat litter and 2 precision scales were seized, was arrested by the court he was brought before.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch initiated surveillance on an address in Bahçelievler as part of their efforts to prevent the crime of "drug or stimulant substance trafficking" and to apprehend suspects.
Evaluating the tip about drug sales, the teams determined through technical and physical surveillance that drug trafficking was taking place at the address.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN OPERATION
After the investigations were completed, teams conducting an operation at the address took Yaser Koçak, known for his magic shows on television, into custody.
During the search at the home, alongside various materials used in magic performances, 619 grams of drugs hidden in cat litter and 2 precision scales were seized.
ARRESTED
After processing at the police station, the suspect Yaser Koçak was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the judge, then sent to prison.
It was learned that the investigation into drug trafficking continues.
