He was playing with his friends: The iron gate separated little Asya from life.

An 8-year-old girl named Asya Değirmenci, who was playing with her friends in Denizli, died in the hospital after being struck by an iron gate.

A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Çivril district of Denizli. According to the information obtained, an iron gate fell on 8-year-old Asya Değirmenci while she was playing with her friends. Her friends, who saw the little girl trapped under the gate, called for help. Health teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of those nearby.

THE LITTLE GIRL LOST HER LIFE

After the initial intervention by the health teams, little Asya was taken to Çivril State Hospital, where she unfortunately lost her life despite all efforts. The lifeless body of the little girl was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue for an autopsy. The death of the 8-year-old girl plunged the entire city into mourning.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM DENİZLİ METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu published a condolence message for Asya, whose father is a municipal employee. In his message, Çavuşoğlu stated, "I was saddened to learn that our colleague Ramazan Değirmenci's daughter, Asya Değirmenci, lost her life as a result of an unfortunate accident. I wish God's mercy upon our child and offer my condolences and patience to her family, loved ones, and relatives."

After the autopsy procedures, Asya's body will be delivered to her family and will be laid to rest at Çakmak Cemetery following the funeral prayer to be held at Hilal Mosque after the noon prayer today.
