The woman who severely wounded her ex-boyfriend in the back with a screwdriver in Kağıthane—after learning he was married and breaking up with him—was caught as a result of a 14-day police surveillance; following the incident involving parties with 24 separate criminal records, the suspect woman was placed under house arrest.

Asya K. (28), who severely injured her ex-boyfriend Şahin E. (42), with whom she broke up after learning he was married, with a screwdriver in Kağıthane, was caught after a 14-day pursuit. It was learned that Asya K. rejected Şahin E.'s reconciliation offer, and that the argument broke out for this reason. The court she was brought before issued a judicial control decision in the form of house arrest for Asya K.

The incident occurred on Sunday, October 11, around 14:00 in Telsizler Neighborhood. According to information obtained, an argument broke out between Asya K. and Şahin E. The woman's boyfriend Cemal Ç., Sercan Ç. (34), and Deniz E. (37) and Eren Uygar E. (23), who were with Şahin E., also joined the argument. As the argument escalated, Asya K. injured her ex-boyfriend Şahin E. in the back with a screwdriver. Şahin E., who was seriously injured, was taken to Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital in Şişli. It was learned that Şahin E.'s life was still in danger and his treatment was continuing.

THEY TRACKED THEM FOR 14 DAYS AND CAUGHT THEM

After the incident, in which Şahin E. filed a complaint, Crime Investigation and Inquiry teams affiliated with the Gültepe Şehit Mehmet Pat Police Station launched an investigation. The teams launched an operation to catch the incident's suspects, Asya K. and Sercan Ç., and placed their home under surveillance. Police teams, who kept the suspects' homes under surveillance for 14 days, caught Asya K. and her boyfriend's brother Sercan Ç. as they were going out. Asya K. and Sercan Ç., who were caught, were taken to the police station.

SHE BROKE UP AFTER LEARNING HE WAS MARRIED

After the suspects were caught, it was learned that the fight broke out because of a past romantic relationship. It was stated that Asya K. broke up with Şahin E., with whom she had a 3-year relationship, after learning he was married, and later started dating Cemal Ç. It was learned that Şahin E. sent word that he wanted to talk to Asya K., but the woman did not agree to meet. It was stated that on the day of the incident, while Cemal Ç. was in front of the house, Şahin E. and those with him happened to pass by there. Asya K. claimed that she was harassed at that time and that Cemal Ç. also saw what happened. It was then learned that an argument broke out between the parties.

HOUSE ARREST ORDERED

The court she was brought before at the courthouse to which she was referred issued a judicial control decision in the form of house arrest for Asya K. Cemal Ç.'s brother Sercan Ç., however, was released by a prosecutor's decision after his statement at the police station. In cell phone footage from the moment of the incident, a person can be seen shouting, "I won't let drugs be sold in this neighborhood," and swearing. It was also learned that these words were said in order to provoke the neighborhood residents.

THE PARTIES HAD 24 POLICE RECORDS

On the other hand, it was learned that Asya K. had police records for 'using drugs,' 'insult,' 'intentional injury,' and 'attempted intentional homicide'; Sercan Ç. had a total of 7 records—2 for 'attempted intentional homicide' and 1 each for 'using drugs,' 'sexual intercourse with a minor,' 'violation of the firearms law,' 'open theft,' and 'intentional injury'; Cemal Ç. for 'using drugs,' 'open theft,' and 'attempted intentional homicide'; Şahin E. for 'drug trafficking,' 'using drugs,' and 'theft from a home'; Deniz E. for 'using drugs,' 'intentional homicide,' 'violation of the firearms law,' and 'negligent injury'; and Eren Uygar E. for 'using drugs' and 'theft through information systems.'
